The footage is consistent with prior Source 2 leaks: photorealistic City 17 environments, the gravity gun returns with new physics, and a handful of new gameplay mechanics tied to the Combine occupation.

Build maturity is the read. The footage looks closer to ship than any prior Half-Life 3 leak, with full UI polish, audio passes complete, and no obvious placeholder assets. Valve has not commented. A 2026 release is no longer ridiculous to discuss.
