ARM PC for gaming in 2026 — Snapdragon X Elite 2 is closer than you think
Translation overhead is finally under 8%, native game ports are arriving, and battery life is in a different category.

The ARM PC for gaming finally landed in the credible category. Snapdragon X Elite 2 reduced x86 translation overhead to under 8% on average across the Steam top 50, native ARM game ports are arriving from Valve, IO Interactive and Larian, and battery life is in a different category from any Intel or AMD laptop.
The catch is still GPU drivers. Adreno on Windows is closer to maturity than the public discourse implies, but it is not yet competitive with discrete on the high-end. ARM PCs are the right pick for portable gaming under 30W TDP.
