EWC 2026 adds nine club partners as Saudi subsidy crosses $300M
9z, Alpha7, Fluxo W7M and six others sign multi-year guaranteed payments. The Saudi PIF is now the dominant capital source in esports.
The Esports World Cup 2026 added nine new organizations to the Club Partner Program: 9z Team, Alpha7 Esports, Fluxo W7M, plus six others split across NA, LATAM, MENA and APAC. Total annual subsidy across all partner clubs now crosses $300M for the year — and that figure does not include the prize pool, broadcast deals or arena costs the EWC also covers.
Saudi PIF money is the only meaningful new capital flowing in esports, and it is going into franchise stability rather than league building. The longer-term question is whether this distorts player labor markets — the LCK and LEC dynamics will look very different two seasons from now if the EWC payment becomes the primary income source.
