LCK Cup 2026 was the biggest esports event by media value in Q1, beating every international major including BLAST Bounty Spring and VCT Pacific Kickoff. The headline figure: $148M attributable media value across the seven-week tournament. The LCS regional printed $26M and the LEC printed $34M — the LCK is roughly 3x its Western counterparts on the same metric.

The structural read for franchise valuations: an LCK slot is now worth meaningfully more than an LCS or LEC slot at any reasonable comparable. The next round of secondary-market trades will reflect this gap. Western leagues will need to overhaul broadcast economics — not just sponsorship sales — to close the multiple.
