Logitech Brio 505 long-term review — still the 4K webcam to beat
Six months in, the 505 holds its lead on AF tracking, low-light performance and Mac compatibility. The competition is closer at $80 less.
Six months living with the Logitech Brio 505 as a primary webcam. It is still the 4K cam to beat: AF tracking is faster than any rival, low-light performance is two stops better than the Brio 4K, and the Mac driver finally stops having the issues that plagued the older Brio line.
The competition has closed at $80 less. The Anker PowerConf C300X and the Insta360 Link 2 both deliver 90% of the Brio 505 image quality. If you stream daily, the 505 is still the right buy. If you take three calls a week from a home office, the C300X is the value pick.
